Role
As Lead Designer, I set the design direction, mentored a small team, and implemented a design system that ensured consistency across platforms. I also led the development of immersive AR/VR prototypes in Unity and the JigSpace platform, showcasing new possibilities to partners and investors.
My work presents designs for the future state of the app, refactoring the existing Unity codebase into a fully native macOS experience designed to complement and extend the user experience of the Vision Pro app.
Problem
3D content creation and presentation have long been reserved for specialists, requiring complex software and skills that exclude most educators, businesses, and everyday users. This limited the adoption of 3D storytelling despite its potential for communication and learning.
Solution
JigSpace simplified 3D creation by making it accessible across web, mobile, and spatial platforms. The product introduced intuitive tools for building interactive presentations and incorporated generative AI to support storytelling. A brand refresh aligned the company with the Apple Vision Pro launch, positioning it as a leader in accessible 3D/AR.
Market Gap
Most 3D and AR tools are either too technical (Unity, Unreal) or too simplistic (Keynote, PowerPoint). Competitors like Adobe Aero or Canva dabble in 3D, but lack JigSpace’s interactive, step-by-step “Jigs” that make complex ideas instantly clear.
Outcome
JigSpace became a launch partner for Apple Vision Pro and expanded its use in education and enterprise training. My work demonstrated how design leadership and systemisation can make advanced technology approachable and market-ready.
